Ageru Matome (的目 あげる Matome Ageru?) is the male class committee member for class 2-A.
Appearance
Matome has brown and his face is drawn with elementary and clear lines. He always wears a pair of glasses.
Personality
Normally, Matome doesn't show any emotional expressions with few exceptions (like when he mistakes Yui for a teenage mom[1]).
Plot
Matome appeared the first in time in chapter 2 as background student and is officially named in the chapter 51 where he is nominated as a male class committee member for class 2-A because he is the only male candidate.
Matome makes various cameos during both series, especially after he becomes Ren's friend.
Relationships
Ren Elsie Jewelria
Matome is friends with Ren Elsie whom he shares an interest in turtles with. Ren describes him as a friend who has good grades and can talk at a high level.
Yui Kotegawa
Throughout the series, Matome and Yui have been part of the class committee. In Darkness, he mistakes her for the mother of a baby who is actually Rito.
Etymology
- Matome means "target, typical" (的) (mato) and "eye, ogle" (目) (me).
Trivia
- Matome has a younger sister who has a similar appearance.
- Matome makes a cameo in chapter 30 of Ayakashi Triangle.
