The Watermelon is a monstrous watermelon from the planet Uri.
Appearance[]
The Watermelon appears as an ordinary watermelon but larger in size as a little taller than Momo whose inside is red-colored and seedy, tongue protrudes from its mouth, and only two teeth are in the upper palate. It has a pair of short feet and arms with a twig in its pate.
Personality[]
The Watermelon is very proud of its taste as abhorrent to be criticized about taste. When it is criticized about appearance that it probably has bad taste, it is turned mad to attack everyone there.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Watermelon Juice: It spits out Watermelon Juice from its mouth toward targets.
- Watermelon Seeds: It also spits out seeds from its mouth.
- Tongue: It stretches the drooling tongue for capturing targets, as it is seen when captured Lala.
- Strength: It apparently has great strength as it endured Lala's kick and caught her alone, although Lala has superhuman strength.
- Rolling: To crash all those whom intersect with its course of rolling.
Plot[]
It only appears in chapter 113 and 114 of To LOVE-Ru (adapted in episode 6 of Motto To LOVE-Ru).
In the story Saki has invited everyone to her private beach, and she challenges Lala in a splitting watermelon game (which a blindfolded player beats the watermelon with a staff). When all the watermelon are crushed in a typical incident involving Rito, Momo brings the Watermelon monster from her D-Dial. However, no one wanted to eat it because of its bad appearance and it associates with bad taste. When the Watermelon hears Saki insult him, it is turned into mad and begins to attack everyone. It caught also Lala with his tongue, and Rito tries to save her.
Finally, Yami defeats the Watermelon by splitting into half with a sword thinking all is part of the game. Oshizu, Run and Mikado eat piece of the Watermelon saying its delicious and Momo tells he's happy they like. She asks to the other (non-alien) girls they want a piece, but Saki refuse.
